Dr. Kent Adkins specializes in female urology with expertise in incontinence and uterine sparing vaginal prolapse surgery (not requiring hysterectomy), often with a hospitalization as short as 23 hours. He also specializes in male urethral reconstruction for stricture disease using a buccal graft repair. Dr. Adkins is extensively trained in minimally invasive urological cancer surgeries including prostate, kidney, and bladder.  Dr. Adkins sees all types of general urology patients including those with urologic cancers, impotence, kidney stones, and prostate conditions. Appointments can be made usually within days of initial call.

Dr. Kent Adkins, MD, graduated summa cum laude with a BS in chemistry from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He then completed his urology residency and surgical internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, one of the leading urologic training centers. Upon completion of his residency program Dr. Adkins joined Urological Surgeons Inc in July 2004 which than become Metropolitan Urological Specialists in March 2005. Dr. Kent Adkins is a Board Certified Urologist by the American Board of Urology.
