Through a DRE (digital rectal exam) or PSA (prostate specific antigen) blood testing your physician may determine that further testing to rule out prostate cancer is in your best interest. This procedure is completed in our office by Ultrasound-guided needle biopsying. The physician will take a number of tissue samples from various aspects of the prostate. These samples are then analyzed by our own pathologist to rule out any possible cell abnormality or cancer.
