Radiation therapy used to treat prostate cancer. In this treatment, small radioactive seeds are placed inside the prostate, and radiation is released over many weeks or months. The volume study is used to determine the size of the prostate and the number of seeds to be placed. This is an outpatient procedure typically with a short recovery period.
